Welcome to the International University of Grand-Bassam (IUGB), a unique regionally focused institution of higher learning, located in Côte d’Ivoire, in West Africa. IUGB is an English-speaking University designed to meet the principles and standards of higher education in the United States of America and throughout the world.  IUGB is concentrating on training its students as innovative leaders while instilling in them an appreciation for traditional values. Since its opening and creation by Presidential decree in 2007, IUGB has trained over three thousand students. The first bachelor’s degree graduation ceremony took place in July 2015.

 Many former IUGB students have completed higher degrees in universities in Europe, North America, and Asia. I welcome all new members of the University community to take advantage of the opportunities available and the services provided, and to work collaboratively toward the improvement of the University.
