To achieve its mission of quality education, BSS has set the following strategic goals:
- Deliver competitive, relevant, innovative and market-driven education in business, information technology, economics, international relations and politics.

- Model and provide instruction in ethical business practices.

The vision of the School of STEM is to be a Regional Center of Excellence in STEM education by providing high quality practically-oriented education so that graduates of its programs will be able to ask meaningful questions and generate evidence-based innovative solutions critical to regional growth.
The mission of the School is to provide a well-rounded theoretical foundation and practically- oriented knowledge and skills in fields critical to regional development and stimulate in the students a desire for lifelong learning. The School prepares students for success in positions in business, industry, and government relying on very experience faculty using the most effective educational methods and technology to meet this mission.
The University Preparatory Program (UPP) is a program that provides students with an English language foundation as well as study skills they will need in their undergraduate career, graduate studies, and beyond.
