The International University of Grand-Bassam is seeking one candidate to fill the position of
Accountant II in the Administration and Finance Department (ADF).
IUGB Profile
The International University of Grand-Bassam (IUGB) is a private, publicly supported institution

BASIC FUNCTIONS OF POSITION
Under the supervision of the Director of Administration & Finance (DAF) and Accountant I (ACC
I), the Accountant guarantees the accuracy of accounting information of accounts payable and
receivable). S/he is also in charge of bookkeeping and monitoring the aged trial balance of

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
All applicants must address each selection criterion detailed below with specific and comprehensive
information supporting each item.
DUTIES:
Process purchase and sales invoices.
Monitor customers and suppliers’ files with the resource persons
Receive and verify that invoices correspond to purchase orders
Monitor settlement periods (Suppliers) and the aged trial balance
Assist the ACC1 in the preparation of monthly reporting
Responsible of the establishment and monitoring of suppliers’ tax exemption
Preparation of the statements of accounts and of financial statements in
Collaboration with the Director of Finance and administration
In charge of the financial and budget monthly reporting
Monitor the University asset and report on periodical inventories
Assist the Accountant I in the annual budget preparation, in collaboration with the director of
Finance and Administration
Additional duties as assigned by the Director of Finance and Administration.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities.
Confirmed payroll and social Statements skills
Mastery of Sage (accounting and sales)
Knowledge of students’ management ERP will be appreciated
Ability to anticipate, responsiveness and precision,
Ability to work in a team and under pressure.
Fluent in French and English
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with experience in Costumer Account Management
Experience working with financial services at a university or comparable
institution/company.

Minimum Hiring Standards:
Education:
Associate Degree in finance and accounting;
Professional Experience:
Minimum of two years’ experience in accounting/finance required.
Basic accounting skills and business office experience required.
