The International University of Grand-Bassam in Côte d’Ivoire is seeking a candidate to fill
the position of Administration and Finance Assistant.

The International University of Grand-Bassam (IUGB) is a private, publicly assisted
institution, which offers an American curriculum in English. It opened in 2005, and, by the
signing of Decree 2007-499 on May 16, 2007, was formally accredited as a University within

Summary of Position
The International University of Grand-Bassam is seeking an Administration and Finance
Assistant. The position will report to the Director of Administration and Finance.
Job Description
The Administration and Finance Assistant has to support our Administration and Finance
department by creating clear, concise, and accurate written content. As an Assistant, his/her
responsibilities will include drafting reports, memos, and other financial and Administrative
documents as well as doing a thorough follow up of budgets executions. S/He should have a
strong writing skills and an understanding of financial terminology. The incumbent is a full-
time staff member in the Office of the Administration and Finance.
Essential functions
Create well-structured reports, memos, and other written materials related to financial
operations.
Review and edit financial content for accuracy, clarity, and consistency
Work closely with finance professionals, ensuring that written materials align with
departmental goals.
Gather relevant information from departmental units for financial reports.
Organize and maintain records of financial communications.
Follow company guidelines and style standards when writing financial content.
Do a monthly follow up of all departments’ budget execution
Write minutes of meetings
Manage telephone communications
Manage commercial leases and insurances
Issue invoices and process quotes
Manage the director’s agenda
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
Possess a strong writing skills through excellent command of grammar, spelling, and
punctuation.
Be familiar with financial terminology and concepts.
Be able to spot errors and inconsistencies in written content.
Efficient management of deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Work well with cross-functional teams
Ability to organize documents, data and projects;
Ability to communicate professionally in oral and written format both in English and
French;
Experience in maintaining and preparing records, taking minutes/agenda;
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality;
Knowledge to schedule meetings meetings/appointments, maintain multiple calendar
systems and maintain/update address books;
Excellent organization and time management skills, including ability to prioritize
workflow and coordinate activities;
Skills in professional use of the telephone and internet;
Ability to carrying out multi-tasks, including answering and directing phone requests,
e-mail, and walk-in requests, operating communication system, and using headset and
radio systems;
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Audit and controls with preferably 3 years’ experience in
office Management/Assistance.
