The School of Business & Social Sciences (BSS)
To achieve its mission of quality education, BSS has set the following strategic goals:
- Deliver competitive, relevant, innovative and market-driven education in business, information technology, economics, international relations and politics.
- Provide instruction and research promoting entrepreneurship, critical thinking, problem-solving abilities, global access and community service.
- Model and provide instruction in ethical business practices.
- Be a think tank for big ideas and thorough analysis leading to the sustainable resolution of the region’s developmental, technological and environmental problems.
- Align programs offered with appropriate accreditation agencies.
School of Science and Engineering (SSE)
The vision of the School of SSE is to be a Regional Center of Excellence in SSE education by providing high quality practically-oriented education so that graduates of its programs will be able to ask meaningful questions and generate evidence-based innovative solutions critical to regional growth.
The mission of the School is to provide a well-rounded theoretical foundation and practically- oriented knowledge and skills in fields critical to regional development and stimulate in the students a desire for lifelong learning. The School prepares students for success in positions in business, industry, and government relying on very experience faculty using the most effective educational methods and technology to meet this mission.
