The International University of Grand-Bassam (IUGB) is a private, publicly assisted institution, which offers an American curriculum in English. It opened in 2005, and, by the signing of Decree 2007-499 on May 16, 2007, was formally accredited as a University within the Côte d’Ivoire higher education system. BASIC FUNCTIONS OF POSITION

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Duties:
- Answer all incoming phone calls and handle inquiries courteously and efficiently.
- Receive visitors and prospective students, provide accurate information about academic programs, and direct them to the appropriate person or office.
- Perform data entry related to student course evaluations, information requests, and student records.
- Prepare and maintain mail merge documents, student correspondence, and file labels.
- Assist students in completing application forms and guide them through the entire admission process, ensuring a smooth experience.
- Review and verify applicant files for completeness and compliance with admission requirements.
- Organize, administer, and supervise admission or placement tests for prospective students.
- Evaluate applicants’ test results and academic records to assess their readiness and suitability for the selected programs.
- Prepare reports on testing outcomes and provide recommendations based on assessment results.
- Coordinate with academic departments to align admission standards with program requirements.
- Communicate important information to parents and applicants via phone or email.
- Participate in admission campaigns, student orientation, and other institutional activities.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES

- Knowledge of university programs, services, and facilities.
- Knowledge of university policies and procedures.
- Proficiency in computer equipment and software applications (e.g., MS Access, MS Excel, MS Word, Internet browsers, etc.).
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
- Languages: Fluent in English and French.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Completion of at least two years of university education and one year of administrative experience; or
- A high school diploma (or equivalent) and three years of administrative experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
